Omelet Rice - Bento Menu

Omelet Rice, one of the most popular dishes for Japanese children cause it has a delicious taste and easy to make. Learn how to do it in 20 minutes!

Ingredients ( 1 serve )

chicken breast 50 g
1/4 large onion
1/2 green pepper
butter 10 g
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste
ketchup 2 tbs
soy 1 tsp


  1. Chop the green peppers (if there is no fried onion, chop the 1/4 onion and fry in advance). Beat the eggs into the pot, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper and mix well.

  2. Pour the oil into the frying pan, pour the egg mixture, turn the surface on the back and turn it over. Cook the eggs and put them in the pan.

  3. Put the butter in an empty frying pan, stir-fry the meat, and gently sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. After adding green pepper, continue to stir fry, add ketchup and soy sauce and cook a little. Add rice and stir well while scattering. Add fried onions and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Put 3 ketchup fried rice in the lunch box and cover with 2 eggs, squeeze the tomato sauce and decorate the celery.


1. The point is to first add the white rice after seasoning the side dishes!  In this way, even if it is cold, the rice will not become sticky.

2. If there is a slight gap between the ketchup fried rice and the lunch box, the egg is easier to cover.
