Lakeshore Dance Series: Premiere Dance Presentations

About this event

Encounter an elevated arts experience this fall featuring two compelling dance works in one exhilarating programme: CON by KINAJ and Unrequited by Atri Nundy, plus guest appearances by dancers from Sync&Flow and Sampradaya Dance Academy. CON – Vietnamese for "child" – is a cross-genre Hip Hop and Contemporary work moving through báo hiếu, the generational debt of gratitude. Unrequited, a Bharatanatyam solo inspired by the Mahabharata, explores Panchali’s emotional connection with Karna and the inner world of a woman facing unrealized love. Presented by the City of Toronto in partnership with TOES FOR DANCE. Additional funding support provided by the Toronto Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Department of Canadian Heritage (Canada Arts Presentation Fund), Lakeshore Arts and the Lindy Green Family Foundation. Additional support provided by ĀNANDAM and the National Ballet of Canada. Special thanks to community sponsors, Pivot Dancer and Sol Dance Collective.
