Young d’Artagnan arrives in Paris dreaming of adventure and soon joins forces with the legendary Musketeers Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. Together, they must outwit the scheming Cardinal Richelieu and dangerous Milady de Winter in a thrilling tale of friendship, honor, and daring heroics. At WorldFest, every culture has a stage and every community has a place. Attendees can explore a bustling marketplace filled with South Asian fashion, jewelry, textiles, crafts, artworks, and cultural treasures from across the diaspora. But beyond the performances and food, it’s the energy that sets this festival apart. You’ll see grandparents getting nostalgic, children making new memories, friends reconnecting, and newcomers discovering something that feels like home. What truly makes this festival special is its support for local small businesses — the backbone of our economy and the heart of our communities. Small businesses drive local economies, create jobs, and enrich neighbourhoods like ours with diversity, authenticity, and resilience. Festivals like this help drive foot traffic, increase visibility, and celebrate the entrepreneurs whose shops line our streets and whose stories are woven into Canada’s multicultural fabric. Supporting them isn’t just about economics. It’s about preserving culture, building community, and shaping a vibrant future. Held in the heart of Gerrard India Bazaar — Canada’s largest South Asian marketplace — the festival celebrates multiculturalism, tourism, community pride, and economic vibrancy while creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for residents, visitors, families, and tourists alike.

TFS Presents a Jacques Demy Double Bill!
Step into the world of Jacques Demy with a French double feature that’s equal parts dreamy and devastating. Lola (1961) sets the tone with Anouk Aimée in a performance that’s cool, tender, and unforgettable – a story of love and timing told with quiet elegance. Then The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) turns the dial all the way up: Catherine Deneuve, Michel Legrand’s soaring music (including “I Will Wait for You”), and colours that practically glow as the romance deepens into heartbreak. Two masterpieces, one filmmaker, and a big-screen experience that’s going to stay with you long after you leave the theatre! Buy your tickets here: https://paradiseonbloor.com/purchase/534878/

Better Go Mad in the Wild
Official Selection – Hot Docs Festival 2026 Karlovy Vary Crystal Globe winner “Plays as part fever dream, part paean to rural life, all while focussing deeply on these brothers and their menagerie of animal companions and myriad mishaps.” – Jason Gorber, POV Magazine “A film that will stay with you for sensory and philosophical reasons alike.” – Victor Fraga, Dirty Movies A talking cow narrates the lives of identical twin brothers living alone on a remote farm in Czechia’s Šumava mountains. From the outset, the film makes it clear this is no ordinary story. Based loosely on Czech journalist Aleš Palán’s book of the same name, director Miro Remo's Better Go Mad in the Wild is a wildly original portrait of Franta and Ondra, whose days pass by in an offbeat rhythm of tending to their livestock, arm-wrestling, smoking joints and philosophizing about life. Their bond is both inseparable and volatile, bound by a sometimes wordless connection only twins share. Yet even the smallest disagreements carry weight, and through Remo’s lens their everyday routines and quarrels gradually take on an almost mythic quality. Blurring the boundaries between documentary observation and dreamlike invention, Remo mirrors the pair’s eccentric existence with fantastical flourishes, surreal humour and strikingly cinematic imagery. Deliriously absurd, funny and unexpectedly moving, this singular film invites audiences into a world suspended somewhere between reality and fable. Carmen Thompson, Hot Docs In Czech, with English subtitles.

Drawing inspiration from the hard-hitting salsa and Latin sounds of 1970s New York, the orchestra was created by brothers Sergio and Santiago Mejía Rocca, along with Guillermo Celis, in a house on Calle 33 in the Teusaquillo neighbourhood, giving the group its name. Blending rock influences, original lyrics, and fresh arrangements, La-33 has become a symbol of Colombian salsa. Over more than 20 years, they’ve performed over 1,500 concerts across five continents, establishing themselves as one of today's most successful independent salsa groups. La Pambelé is a salsa brava orchestra redefining Colombia’s tropical and alternative music landscape by revisiting the sonic traditions of 1970s salsa brava while infusing them with contemporary lyrical narratives. Their sound bridges nostalgia and modernity, which one of Colombia’s leading media outlets described as “a new approach to old-school salsa.” The ensemble’s nine musicians bring together a rich instrumentation: piano, congas, flute, trumpet, timbales, trombone, bongó, cowbell, baby bass, and vocals, crafting a dynamic and high-energy performance designed to move both body and soul. Emerging from Bogotá at 2,600 meters above sea level, La Pambelé takes its name from a Bantu term meaning “defender of one’s own,” while also paying homage to the legendary Colombian boxer Antonio Cervantes Reyes, aka " Pambelé ". Composed of musicians from across the country, the group challenges long-held assumptions about the capital’s musical identity, asserting Bogotá’s place within Colombia’s rhythmic and cultural heritage.

MENU Kal Dosa Canapé with Mushroom Chukka & Curry Leaf Oil (Tamil Nadu) Soft mini kal dosa (a thicker, softer, and spongier variant of a plain dosa with crisp edges) topped with peppery mushroom and fennel chukka (a dry-roasted curry) with curry leaves — earthy, bold, and deeply comforting. Malabar Vegetable Tartlet with Coconut Cream (Kerala) A delicate tart filled with coconut-laced carrots, green beans, potatoes and peas. Mild, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. Inspired by Kerala's famous vegetable stews. Mini Mangalore Bun Sliders with Coconut Chutney (Karnataka) Light, fluffy buns with a hint of sweetness and notes of banana, paired with a savory chutney made from coconut, green chiles and a blend of spices. Rich, indulgent, and deeply satisfying. The Decline of Western Civilization – 45th Anniversary
"A bracing, stimulating and technically superb close-up look at the L.A. punk scene." – Variety Their message is brutally clear: Destroy the old and make way for the new. This is the punk's violent revolution; their lawless world. This is The Decline of Western Civilization , a riveting, unflinching account of the punk rock phenomenon and its alienated, reactionary subculture. Penelope Spheeris' fierce, bleak portrait documents L.A.'s infamous punk bands as they perform on stage and discuss their lives, music and philosophy off stage. Through interviews with punk fans, music critics and club owners, it is a crucial, compelling statement of one of the most significant and influential youth movements and musical transformations. It is perhaps a prophetic glimpse of the forces that will inherit our world…. Witness THE DECLINE.
