About this event

Step into the world of Jacques Demy with a French double feature that’s equal parts dreamy and devastating. Lola (1961) sets the tone with Anouk Aimée in a performance that’s cool, tender, and unforgettable – a story of love and timing told with quiet elegance. Then The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) turns the dial all the way up: Catherine Deneuve, Michel Legrand’s soaring music (including “I Will Wait for You”), and colours that practically glow as the romance deepens into heartbreak. Two masterpieces, one filmmaker, and a big-screen experience that’s going to stay with you long after you leave the theatre! Buy your tickets here: https://paradiseonbloor.com/purchase/534878/
