About this event
As we rocket from station to station, explore the art that adorns Toronto’s subway system. Hop on the TTC with us and discover the murals, mosaics, and designs hidden in plain sight. Our subway stations are not just critical infrastructure for public transportation. They are also dynamic sites for cultural and artistic expression. On this tour, we’ll explore the 70+ year history of public art in Toronto’s transit landscape, from station architecture and design, to forgotten tilework of the 1950s, to the contemporary murals of today.
